Before you start

The accessory must already work in Apple Home. A successful personal check and a reported accessory state are different information.

Follow these steps

  1. Read the item's Apple Home status and refresh time.
  2. Check Home permission and the selected accessory.
  3. Confirm the accessory is reachable in Apple's Home app.
  4. Return to the item and refresh again.
  5. Accept only a successful fresh, reachable Locked report, or choose Check without the extra step.

A failed refresh does not renew a cache

Keep a stale or unreachable state distinct from your own manual confirmation. The app never locks the accessory for you.

The app records what you checked. It does not lock doors, switch off appliances, or verify their physical state.
