Before you start
Set up the lock in Apple Home first and allow the requested Home access. Use a compatible, reachable lock accessory.
Follow these steps
- Open Settings, Check options and select the item.
- Choose Apple Home.
- Tap Load Apple Home accessories.
- Read the accessory and home names, then select the intended lock.
- Start the next real check and refresh its reported state before explicitly accepting it.
Confirm the accessory name
Choosing another accessory would attach the wrong reported information. The app's binding stays on the device and does not substitute for checking the intended lock.

The app records what you checked. It does not lock doors, switch off appliances, or verify their physical state.
