Before you start

Install the compatible app and use your own iCloud account. Do not sign in with the owner's Apple Account.

Follow these steps

  1. Open the invitation the owner sent through Apple's share flow.
  2. Read the shared-place information and accept if intended.
  3. Open Is It Locked? and wait for its join or sync result.
  4. Select the invited place from Home's property menu.
  5. Read its items and record your ordinary checks explicitly when you use it.

Invited does not mean joined

If the place is missing, ask the owner to confirm the invitation and check the visible iCloud error. Extra Photo, NFC, or Apple Home methods still need your own Plus.

Use it with your own checklist

The free checklist gives you one place, unlimited items, and seven days of Activity. Plus is optional for the extra features.

Get the app free

iOS 27 or later. One place and one list are free.

The app records what you checked. It does not lock doors, switch off appliances, or verify their physical state.
