Before you start
Install Is It Locked? on an iPhone with iOS 27 or later. No separate app account or permissions are needed for ordinary checks.
Follow these steps
- Open the app and read its explanation of manual checks.
- Choose a place name and emoji.
- Select the items you check, then add or remove items to fit your home.
- Follow the practice hold, then finish setup.
- For the first real check, inspect your items yourself before holding Hold to lock on Home.
Keep practice and real checks separate
Practice ticks belong to setup. Read Activity after a real completed check to confirm that the app saved a receipt.
Use it with your own checklist
The free checklist gives you one place, unlimited items, and seven days of Activity. Plus is optional for the extra features.

The app records what you checked. It does not lock doors, switch off appliances, or verify their physical state.
